The Education Master Plan presents a strategic direction for education over the next 15 years. The plan acknowledges that education is not the sole responsibility of any one group. Through collaboration we can make the most of opportunities to develop new ideas and initiatives. These opportunities will provide a foundation for success and excellence for all. The plan describes what we are aiming for and how we intend to get there.

The Samoa Education Sector Plan (ESP) brings together the forward plans of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Culture (MESC), the Samoa Qualifications Authority (SQA) and the National University of Samoa (NUS), together with the arrangements for implementing and monitoring these plans. It strengthens Samoa’s Sector Wide Approach (SWAp), involving all stakeholders in tackling the developmental needs of the education sector in Samoa.

The NEP 2015–19 is designed to give everyone in Papua New Guinea, regardless of their ability, gender or socio - economic background, an opportunity to be educated and to transform their lives, using an holistic, inclusive and integrated approach.

There have been many changes in the country’s education system and policies since independence 40 years ago. This plan is designed to build on past successes and experience and begin a system providing 13 years Universal Education. High-quality, relevant education and training for all.

The FSM Education Sector Strategic Development Plan 2020–2024 has been prepared with funding support from the Global Partnership for Education specific to the needs of the people of FSM. The ESSDP is aligned with: 1| The Pacific Regional Education Framework (sub-titled ‘Moving Towards Education 2030’) and 2| The Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 4 for Education.

The plan provides long term direction for the sector as a whole, but also direction for various Directorates and Work Units to focus their efforts to ensure that, within the Ministry and as a country, we commit to delivering on the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goal 4 of the Sustainable Development Goals: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
