It was anticipated that the Regional Energy Information Database was to be available through the SOPAC web site. The database provides information on the whereabouts of reports on various energy projects, technologies, programs and reference material relevant to the Pacific region.

The Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) is being installed in Nauru. In order to assess the renewable energy potential of the offshore areas of Fiji, baseline data is needed to assist in the evaluation of those sites. Objective: To produce baseline data on the inshore waters in Fiji area to assist investigations into the use of various alternative sea water energies as resources of power.

Joint Evaluation of the Naroi Photovoltaics Project : The Naroi Solar PV Project is one of the first PV projects in Fiji to use Cash Power Meters. It was therefore
considered beneficial that following a training attachment and visit to the site by Tonga EPU (Talanoa) and
SOPAC Energy Unit staff that a report on the findings of the visit be recorded and published. The primary objective of this is to evaluate the Naroi (Fiji) solar PV Project.
