The Pacific Data Hub holds a large and diverse collection of data, data insights, publications, and knowledge products on the Pacific across key sectors, including population statistics, fisheries, geoscience, agriculture, aquaculture, energy, education, human rights, climate change, and oceans, and it continues to grow.

While the intention is for the Pacific Data Hub to become a multi-stakeholder-owned and managed platform, it is currently a product of the Pacific Community (SPC), and as such is governed by SPC’s internal documents.

Cook Islands transport data. Data collected by Mr Herbet Wade, consultant for the SPREP PIGGAREP Project. Record holds several attachments. The objective of this project is to assess what is available in the Pacific Islands countries (PIC), identify and determine how renewable sources & ultimately technology can be used to offset fuel imports and lastly what mechanisms is appropriately applicable towards having an Energy efficient program towards the fuel design. Data collected involved transport of all sectors.Listed are the transport related information collected:  

  1. Annual Fuel usage for transport years 2006, 2009, 2010 ,2011 and  2012
  2. Commercial craft using petrol (gasoline) powered outboard engines - Hong Yang 9
  3. Motor Vehicle Registry
  4. Outboard motor by Islands Supplier
  5. Ships with inboard engines that run on diesel fuel - MV Maungaroa II
  6. populated questionire on Motor Vehicle Registry
  7. Transport information on local aircrafts - Air Rarotonga
