A SOPAC report that describes a high resolution bathymetry mapping survey of the seabed surrounding of the Aitutaki Island in the Cook Islands.
A report on work initiated by the Pacific Islands
Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC) and (EU)European Union's Project on Reducing Vulnerability of Pacific ACP States Project.
Record holds the bathymetry chart of the Southern coast of Viti Levu. Survey boundaries of the chart are within the Fiji Map sheet , K28 (offshore areas of Nabila to Lomawai). The chart is part of the survey carried out by the SOPAC Division of SPC, for the south coast of Viti Levu, Fiji. The surveyed area extends from the coast to approximately 20 km offshore. Survey covered a total area from Momi (Nadi) in the South West of Viti Levu to the South East of Naselai (Suva) from 03/05/03 to 01/07/03.
High-resolution bathymetric mapping survey was carried out for Kiribati Islands around Abaiang, Tarawa, Abemama, Banaba and Onotoa. The survey was carried out over a period of six weeks in September and October 2005, resulting in the acquisition of over 900 km of multibeam echo sounder (MBES) data. Resultant data compilation was used to produce bathymetry charts including Onotoa bathymetry chart and is available for download from its appropriate link under Distribution Info.
