Dataset contains training material on using open source Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to improve protected area planning and management from a workshop that was conducted on August 17-21, 2020. Specifically, the dataset contains lectures on GIS fundamentals, QGIS 3.x, and global positioning system (GPS), as well as country-specific datasets and a workbook containing exercises for viewing data, editing/creating datasets, and creating map products in QGIS.
The sector plan provides policy guidelines and direction for the Agriculture Sector to implement programs that will focus on the needs related to increasing agriculture productivity. The Sector Plan also provides a clear direction to the sector to align its objectives in a well-coordinated and integrated approach. The key guiding principles were that the strategy will contribute to the achievement of food security, economic sustainability, social sustainability, and environmental sustainability while valuing public and private partnerships in the implementation of the plan.

It thus includes all the species that make up the natural world of Nauru, those which naturally occur on the island, and those brought here by people.

The biological integrity of Late is threatened by invasive Pacific rats that were historically introduced to the island. This report assesses the feasibility of restoring Late through the removal of invasive rats, and describes options, recommendations, and challenges to realizing a successful project.
