National Communication reports represent the most standardized and comparable documents on the climate policies of different countries. This dataset hosts all national communications submissions by Nauru to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
This report fulfills Nauru's 5th reporting requirement to the Convention on Biological Diversity which is also Nauru's first national report to be submitted to the convention. In this regard, the report attempts to provide a comprehensive assessment of the status and trends of our island’s biodiversity and threats to its survival and viability, and it also provides an account of actions that have been implemented to protect and conserve Nauru's biodiversity.
This report is prepared for the purpose of the higher ground project in Nauru to understand the impacts of sea level rise and the need to develop the higher ground in Nauru. The author of the report is NIWA.
