Mayor of Oneisom Municiapality, Mr Enrino Paul, Director of OECMA, Ms Evelyn Paul along with a number of coordinators from different Municipal groups attended the workshop. Concepts of waste management focusing on 3Rs, Segregation of waste, policies and regulations and Proper Disposal of wastes were some of the topics of today's workshop.

As part of the preparation of the Pacific Region Environmental Strategy (PRES) the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has funded a field study in Yap State. The objectives of the study are to evaluate:

To do so, this SSWMS consists of not only strategic elements but also a mid-term action plan of the first five years with technically, institutionally and financially appropriate options, which will propel realization of the SSWMS.

The Integrated 2013 Policy supersedes the 2009 Climate Change Policy.
