The Cooperative Study on the Deep sea Mineral Resources in Selected Offshore Areas of the SOPAC Region, 1991, Sea Area of the island of Western Samoa.The area was selected in accordance with the joint study program for deep sea mineral resources in the EEZ of the SOPAC member countries agreed upon by the Japanese executing agency and the South Pacific Applied Geoscience Commission (SOPAC) on March 3, 2000. This record holds a bathymetry dataset from a survey conducted within the sea areas of the Republic of the Marshall Islands and Federated States of Micronesia, for the Fiscal Year 1998. Bathymetry dataset was produced by the Joint Japan International Cooperatiopn Agency and SOPAC Deepsea Mineral Survey. Survey was conducted from May 5th to July 17, 1998 within the Marshalls sea area and May 3 to July 18, l998 within the FSMs sea area .
