PREA 1992 Report on the Federated States of Micronesia issues and options in the energy sector. Published by the World Bank in cooperation with the UNDP/ESCAP Pacific Energy Development Programme and the Asian Development Bank.
This report was prepared by the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) for the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP).
FSM nationwide climate change policy 2009.
This report was prepared by Ridgway Capital Projects Limited in association with Maunsell Limited for Pohnpei Utilities Corporation (PUC). The purpose of the Operation and Rates Analysis is to independently recommend a tariff structure. This is to be based on the electricity, water and sewer rates that Pohnpei Utilities Corporation needs to cover operating expenses and finance long-term growth.
This report was prepared by Russell J Maharaj and was funded by The Commonwealth Secretariat. This report presents the results of a technical assessment , of guidelines, required for the preparation of an Environmental Assessment (EA) of a diesel power generation plant in Dekehtik, Pohnpei Island, Pohnpei State, Federated States of Micronesia (FSM). This includes various documents describing the project scope and outline and conceptual plans.
This report was prepared by Tiante T Tarakia of the Kiribati Solar Energy Company Ltd (KSEC). This tender dossier describes the technical requirements of the solar photovoltaic (PV) equipment to be supplied to Kiribati under the Italian Development Fund for the Chevalier College Solar PV Power System. Thus, this project is geared for Chevalier College’s solar hybrid power system on Abemama Island.
This report was prepared by the Asian Development Bank and Tonga Electric Power Board. The Asian Development Bank (the Bank) is providing a technical assistance grant to the Government of Tonga for financing consulting services to define the next phase of the Tonga Electric Power Board's (TEPB) power system development program. Monenco AGRA Inc was engaged by the Bank to provide the consulting services.
This report was prepared by Helen Mountfort of Victoria University of Wellington and was submitted to Victoria University of Wellington in partial fulfilment of the master of Development Studies in Degree. The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of the aid effectiveness agenda on Tongan development policy and practice. The research ojectives are as follows:
A strategic pathway for TERM. This report was prepared by Mark Fogarty. The aim of this TIS REEEP Report is to contribute to the considerable effort on offer in attempting to reform Tonga’s Energy agenda. It is presented as a first third party analysis to comment on the progress to implement the Tonga Energy Road Map (TERM). The objective of TIS REEEP is to provide a framework for the Government of Tonga (GoT) which bridges in a strategic and operational sense between TERM and the key phases of TERM implementation.
This report was prepared by Mads Brix Nielsen and Mikkel Sorensen of the Technical University of Denmark. Report served as the basis evaluating the Tonga Outer Island Solar Electrification Programme, an evaluation requested by the Tonga Energy Planning Unit (EPU) through the SPC and carried out as a midterm study at the Technical University of Denmark entitled "An Evaluation of Tonga's Outer Island Electrification Programme".
This National Infrastructure Investment Plan (NIIP) outlines the Government of Tonga‟s priorities and plans for major initiatives in the economic infrastructure sector (energy, telecommunications, water, solid waste management, transport) over the next 5-10 years.
This report was prepared by the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) for the Renewable energy and energy efficiency partnership (REEEP). The objective of this study is to analyse the characteristics of the major appliance and lighting products and markets in Tonga, in order to inform and support decision-making on the most suitable Standards & Labelling (S&L) strategy for Tonga.
This study is to further develop a project proposal submitted by the Government of Tonga to transform its solar electrification programme into a financially sustainable one. This is to be carried out through the electrification with solar PV of the outer islands of the Ha'apai Group, utilising the lessons learnt from previous projects and using the project as a leverage for change to the existing projects and a model and funding incentive for new ones.
This report was prepared by the World Bank under the Pacific Regional Energy Assessment (PREA). The report captures the following details:
- Economic & institutional context
- Energy consumption
- Energy supply
- Policy issues & priorities
- Investment & technical assistance priorities.
Data tables captured in the report are:
The principal objective of the survey was to provide a baseline for household electrical energy use in order to create energy efficiency improvement measures that could be targeted to those areas of household energy use that are most likely to be economically reasonable and to make it easier to measure the benefits of any interventions that are made.
Country report for Kiribati. Technical analysis of appliance markets to support the PALS programme. Report prepared for REEEP by IIEC.
This report was prepared by the World Bank in cooperation with the UNDP/ ESCAP Pacific Energy Development Programme and The Asian Development Bank. This report is based on the findings of an energy assessment mission which visited Kiribati in February 1991.
This report was prepared by G. White . In response to a request for proposals from the Energy Planning Unit of the Ministry of Public Works & Utilities of the Republic of Kiribati.Gl Garrad Hassan has been commissioned to carry out a wind energy feasibility study for Kirimati Island. This report covers the feasibility Study for Kiritimati Island. Christmas Island has been almost continuously occupied only since the early 1880's, when the first attempt to plant coconuts for copra production commercially.
This thesis was prepared by Tiante T Tarakia. This thesis presents a comprehensive energy resource assessment for Kiribati. The energy resources assessed are solar, wind and copra with CNO biofuel as a diesel substitute. The main aim is to assess the feasibility and economic viability of these energy resources as energy sources for a Hybrid Energy System (HES) that can provide a sustainable energy source for rural communities on outer islands in Kiribati. Arorae Island, is chosen as a case study to assess these resources, including the feasibility of local CNO production.
