It was anticipated that the Regional Energy Information Database was to be available through the SOPAC web site. The database provides information on the whereabouts of reports on various energy projects, technologies, programs and reference material relevant to the Pacific region.

Schools Energy Education Program : To increase the awareness about the energy, economy and environment interactions and enhance the local capability in promoting energy efficiency but with a particular emphasis on the school children.
Promote and Seek Support for the Development of Geothermal Energy in the South Pacific : The objective of this task was to distribute to member countries and potential developers glossy booklet and other information regarding the geothermal potential of Fiji, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Western Samoa. In addition, the aim was to promote geothermal potential at regional and international geothermal workshops.

Consultation Workshop on the Development of the Tuvalu National Energy Policy : The first of the three consultation workshops on the development of the National Energy Policy was carried out in Funafuti from 12 to 14 April 2004. The consultation workshop is part of the Pacific Islands Energy Policy and Strategic Action Planning Project (PIEPSAP) activity in Tuvalu. The Tuvalu Government through the Assistant Secretary in Ministry of Works and Energy requested PIEPSAP to provide assistance to Tuvalu in reviewing their National Energy Policy.
