The topics covered by the survey included:
HOUSEHOLDS: dwelling characteristics, housing expenditure, household operations, clothing and footwear, education and health expenditure, and food expenditure.
PERSONS: personal information, income and employment of individuals, including wage and salaries, self-employment, business activities
ANNUAL EXPENDITURE ITEMS: total annual expenditure on commodity and utility items, type of expenditure and type of item.
-HOUSEHOLD: Household size and composition; Ranked sources of income and average household expenditure level; Average household consumption patterns and sources; Average number of fishers and boats per household.
There were 5 Modules altogether which refers to different scope of the surveys.

- HOLDING: Identification, characteristics, parcel details, scattered plants/trees, crops, labour input;
The following topics were included in the survey: tobacco use, alcohol consumption, diet, physical activity, history of raised blood glucose, history of raised blood pressure, history of raised total cholesterol, and lifestyle advice. Additionally, the following measures were taken: blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference, fasting blood glucose, total cholesterol. Finally, the following optional modules were included: oral health and violence and injury.

The Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) provided funds for the upgrade of two roads in Vanuatu. These were the Efate Ring Road and the Santo East Coast Road. Both these roads were unpaved (coral) roads and were sealed with a double surface dressing in 2009/10. The length of road sealed in Efate was 92.5 km and 57.2 km in Santo. An HDM-4 analysis was conducted to examine:
i) The economic viability of upgrading the two roads
ii) The future performance of the roads
The ASPBAE Education Expereience Survey and Literacy Assessment 2011 aims to provide research into adult and youth education in Vanuatu and contribute to national education policy planning and program development. The survey and literacy assessment instrument and methodology has been designed to collect accurate and statistically significant information about education and language experience and also assess actual literacy levels at the provincial, village and individual level.
