State of Environment (SoE) reports provide in-country partners with a process to gather data on current environmental indicators, document their status, and formulate a plan for keeping these indicators on track or developing policies and programs as needed. This SoE Toolkit dataset contains resources that serve as guides to help create up-to-date State of Environment reports.

Global EEZ layer are the layers gathered from gazetted datasets that the Pacific Community (SPC) has received from the project countries. In areas where there are no gazetted datasets provisional layers are being sourced from the Global Marine Regions database (https://www.marineregions.org/).

There are two layers available, he .shp file layer and the .kml layer which are being used by partners and member states in particular FFA for the Regional Fisheries Surveillance Center (RFSC).

This report documents the UH monitoring network which provides hydrologic parameters, such as precipitation, streamflow, and aquifer response, in small island developing communities like Tutuila, American Samoa, where water resources are limited. It highlights the collaborative efforts between the University of Hawaii's Water Resources Research Center and the American Samoa Power Authority to establish a new monitoring network for weather, stream gauging, and aquifer data, providing essential information for sustainable water resource management and various applications

The Strandings of Oceania database is a collaborative project between SPREP, WildMe and the South Pacific Whale Research Consortium to record stranding and beachcast data for whales, dolphins and dugongs throughout the Pacific. We use a platform called Flukebook. An account is needed to view or use data within Flukebook but the data is available for download here. You can submit data direct into Flukebook (preferably while logged in) or send a completed data form to SPREP for upload. Guidance on using the database is available :

The Maritime Zones Act 2013 states that the baseline of the territorial sea of Niue is measured from the low-water mark along the coast of Niue, or where there is a coral reef along any part of the coast of Niue, the low-water mark along the outer edge of the coral reef.

The territorial sea comprises those areas of the sea having, as their inner limits, the baseline and, as their outer limits, a line measured seaward from that baseline, every point of which is distant 12 nautical miles from the nearest point of the baseline.
