Household Income and Expenditure Surveys (HIES) are implemented to rebase consumer price indices and estimates of household contribution to national gross domestic product. More recently, HIES data have been used in poverty analyses and to conduct nutrition and food security oriented analyses.

State of Environment Report 1993 & State of Environment Report 2022
Tuvalu’s State of Environment Report was first developed in 1993 to raise awareness among the people of Tuvalu on all environmental issues and to use the report in decision making. This year (2022), the Department of Environment under the Ministry of PublicWorks, Infrastructure, Environment,Labour, Meteorology and Disaster (MPWIELMD) is pleased to present the 2nd Tuvalu State of Environment Report 2022.
The review offers a brief overview of environmental legislation in force in Tuvalu identified and is current as of January 2018.
Current national policies and strategies related to the environment sector. These policies and strategies are being implemented by various Vanuatu government and non governmental institutions such the Ministry of Climate Change Adaptation (MoCCA), Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Forestry, and Biosecurity (MALFFB), Ministry of Lands, and Natural Resources (MoLNR), Ministry of Internal Affairs (MoIA), Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities (MIPU), and their respective departments amongst other environmental stakeholders.
This dataset holds all CIM Plans for each district of Samoa. The CIM Plans are envisaged as blueprints for climate change interventions across all development sectors reflecting the programmatic approach to climate resilience adaptation taken by the Government of Samoa.
The proposed interventions outlined in the CIM Plans are also linked to the Strategy for the Development of Samoa 2016/17 – 2019/20 and the relevant ministry sector plans.
The objectives sought to be achieved by this review, is the protection of TK (traditional knowledge) against misuse and misappropriation, which relates to the kind of protection normally considered in intellectual property law. For example, legal measures that limit the potential use of TK by third parties by providing exclusive rights,
preventing use or setting conditions on their permitted use, and also providing moral rights or rights of attribution.
This paper examines traditional ecological knowledge of weather and climate in Samoa. The research found
Samoans have their own unique seasonal calendar. The Samoan seasonal calendar is predominantly based on the observations of local environmental changes, which are in turn influenced by weather and climate.
The NESP is a compilation of efforts and contributions across the sector which is a clear reflection of Samoa's collective responsibility as 'custodians' of the environment. This guide introduces environmental indicators and provides an overview of SPREP’S core indicators for Pacific island countries. In 2012, the SPREP members approved the development of a set of standardised indicators for use by member countries at the SPREP meeting. Through the Inform project, SPREP programmes then developed a set of 34 indicators that was endorsed by members at the 2018 SPREP meeting. This document explains the development and use of environmental indicators in Part 1 and provides a summary of each of the 34 ‘core’ indicators in Part 2.

In 2018, the Federated State of Micronesia through the Department of Environment, Climate Change and Emergency Management (DECEM) with the support of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Program (SPREP) assisted in the formulation of the Federated States of Micronesia National Environment Management Strategy (NEMS) 2019–2023.

The study of the ichthyofaunal corpus yielded by the archaeological site of Teouma, Efate Island, Vanuatu, has
revealed the unexpected presence of a significant number of bones of Eleotridae (Sleepers) on the site, as early as
2920–2870 cal. B.P. Out of the 8560 identified fish remains associated with the Lapita layers, which document
the period of initial settlement of the archipelago, 1368 have been determined as belonging to eleotrids, including
