The guidelines for the design of conjunctive water supply systems to improve resilience to drought in Nauru have been developed as part of the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) demonstration project initiative. The PACC project involves 14 pacific countries and is aimed at building resilience to impacts of climate change in the key vulnerable socio-economic sectors. In Nauru, drought has been identified has one of the most threatening impact that could result from change in climate patterns.

The [Allen Coral Atlas](https://allencoralatlas.org/) combines high resolution satellite imagery, machine learning and field data to produce globally consistent benthic and geomorphic maps of the world's coral reefs. The Atlas is funded primarily by [Vulcan Inc.](https://www.vulcan.com) (founded by the late Paul G.

The six Allen Coral Atlas Global Benthic Habitat Map classes described below were developed by Roelfsema et al 2013* with input from other coral reef benthic classifications.

The twelve Global Geomorphic Zones mapped by the Allen Coral Atlas are listed below, in logical order from external seaward-facing through to internal coral reef structural features. These zones are known to be fairly consistent across different biogeographic regions, and often associated with regionally distinct ecological assemblages of benthic animals and plants. Moreover, geomorphic classes like these have been shown to be reliable predictors of biological habitat richness and diversity.
