The Maritime Zone Notification (M.Z.N. 143.2019.LOS) states that on 28 March 2019, Australia deposited with the Secretary -General, pursuant to article 16, paragraph 2, of the Convention, lists of geographical coordinates of points, concerning the baselines for measuring the breadth of the territorial sea, as contained in the Seas and Submerged Lands (Territorial Sea Baseline) Proclamation 2016.

The lists of geographical coordinates of points are referenced to the World Geodetic System (WGS 84)

The National Seas Act 1977 states that delimitation of boundaries in relation to neighboring states, the offshore seas of the State extend to a distance of 200 miles seaward from the baselines and, unless otherwise specified, shall be deemed to comprise all the waters outside the baselines and within a line proclaimed for the purposes of this section by the Head of State, acting on advice, in the National Gazette.

The Maritime Zones Act 2013 states that the baseline of the territorial sea of Niue is measured from the low-water mark along the coast of Niue, or where there is a coral reef along any part of the coast of Niue, the low-water mark along the outer edge of the coral reef.

The territorial sea comprises those areas of the sea having, as their inner limits, the baseline and, as their outer limits, a line measured seaward from that baseline, every point of which is distant 12 nautical miles from the nearest point of the baseline.

Title 27 of the Palau National Code as amended by the Act (SIXTH OLBIIL ERA KELULAU) to Amend Chapter 1 of Title 27 of the Palau National Code defines the territorial sea as having a twelve miles’ breadth. The inner boundary of the territorial sea of each island or atoll is the baseline which is defined as a continuous line which encircles an island or atoll.

The Exclusive Economic Zone Act No. 3 of 25 August 1977, as amended by the Exclusive Economic Zone Amendment Act 1980. The exclusive economic zone of Western Samoa comprises those areas of the sea, sea bed, and subsoil
that are beyond and adjacent to the territorial sea of Western Samoa, having as their outer limits a line measured
seaward from the baseline described in sections 5 and 6 of the Territorial Sea Act 1971, every point of which line is
distant 200 nautical miles from the nearest point of the baseline.
