The song ‘Dear Society’ is for Ms Kami’s sister, reflecting on the damaging expectations that society has of women, and why it’s important for us to support each other. It was composed in honour of her older sister who passed on at the age of 15 after undergoing multiple surgeries on her face to remove a tumour.
Designed for and by girls, Pacific Girl is the only regional program in the Pacific dedicated to adolescent girls and advancing their rights and opportunities.
The Pacific Women Support Unit welcomed partners, supporters and friends to its Pacific Women Close Out event. The event served as a celebration of nearly 10 years of partnership through the Pacific Women program, while also disseminating lessons learned from partners’ initiatives to inform future gender equality programming that is effective and transformative. In a first for the Pacific, several country-specific video animations are available about the safety of women and children in their homes during the current COVID-19 pandemic response. This is the regional animation.

Pacific Women Shaping Pacific Development highlights the Australian Government's commitment to equality and empowerment of women in the region. It is a 10 year $320 million program striving for the full and free participation of Pacific women in political, economic and social life. Natasha Stott Despoja provides an overview of the program.
This survey acted as the main pilot for the WFS programme. A re-interview survey on a subsample of 371 women was conducted and a detailed analysis of response consistency performed. A validation of contraceptive use data against health centre records was carried out; the results are contained in the country report.

The overall goal of the Hybrid Survey (HS) project is to provide Vanuatu statistical systems with an affordable means and methodology to regularly collect statistics across key social and economic sectors, to derive indicators that would provide Vanuatu Government and their development partners with a core set of statistics to facilitate evidence-based policy development and planning, to monitor development progress and measure policy performance, and ultimately to describe development impact.

The Kiribati Social Development Indicator Survey (SDIS) results are critically important for the purposes of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) monitoring, as the survey produces information on 32 global SDG indicators adopted by the National Development Indicators framework, either in their entirety or partially.

The Code of the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) was amended to include the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), to increase the size of its Territorial Sea and to be inclusive of the current political status of FSM and other purpose as it deem fit (16 December 1988)
Chapter 1 of Title 18 of the Code of the Federated States of Micronesia, as amended by Public Law No. 19-172 on April 28, 2017 established a Contiguous Zone, comprising those areas of the sea that are beyond and adjacent to the Territorial Sea. The inner boundary of the contiguous zone is the seaward boundary of the Territorial Sea. The outer boundary of the Contiguous Zone is a line, every point of which is not more than 24 M seaward of the nearest point of the baseline as defined in section 101 of this title.
