The European Union (EU) has acknowledged the positive audit report for the Intra ACP GCCA+ Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change and Resilience Building (PACRES) Project.

The acknowledgement was offered by the EU’s Programme Manager for PACRES, Mr Gabor Sasvari, during the third PACRES Project Steering Committee at Novotel Hotel in Nadi, Fiji, in the presence of country representatives and partners to discuss the progress and the best way forward.

The audit report for Years 1 and 2 for the period of implementation found that out of a sampled amount of EUR 218.000,62, no financial findings were identified. This in light of the challenges encountered due to COVID-19 where the engagement with Pacific members was conducted remotely using multiple agencies based in the various countries in the region, is a remarkable achievement, the EU noted.

“The successful audit report has been noted by the European Union and we want to commend everyone involved for the work done. I would like to congratulate your teams and commend the PMU and the co-delegates and encourage that this good work continues,” said Mr Sasvari.
