The Pacific Network for Environmental Assessment (PNEA) Portal is an initiative of the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) to support government officials from Pacific Island countries and territories who work with environmental impact assessment (EIA), strategic environmental assessment (SEA) as well as Environmental and Social Safeguards (ESS).
The portal complements SPREP’s current capacity building program for EIA and SEA - including the recently launched Regional EIA Guidelines, the Coastal Tourism EIA guidelines, and SEA guidelines.

Provides principles to support nature conservation in pacific islands
Dataset includes various regional-scale spatial data layers in geojson format.
This first state of the environment report for the Pacific region uses regional environment indicators to assess the status, trends, and data quality and availability for the endorsed Pacific environmental priorities. This report also includes an update of the State of Conservation in Oceania report produced in 2013, which was endorsed and published in 2017.
Maps, reports, pictures, spreadsheet, charts of Eco-bag in Solomon Islands 2014
This includes raw survey data, reports, spread sheets ,jpeg and pdf information of waste management information in the provinces.
Dataset related to the population trend from 1931-2009. It can be seen that the population of the Solomon Islands has continuously increased and it is now more than five times the size it was in 1931.
Statistical records relating to the monetary measures of Solomon Islands total economic activities from the year 2007 - 2014 . The table shows that approximately 43% of GDP was derived a) agriculture forestry and fisheries and b) industry (including mining, water etc). Although the contribution of these sectors has decreased slightly since 2007 (43%), this shows the continuing importance of natural resources / ecosystem services in economic development. There is also potential future development in these sectors, for example in the field of offshore mining.
On 2 April 2007, a large earthquake and tsunami hit the western Solomon Islands causing varying degrees of damage and disruption to coastal communities. This assessment is focused on immediate damage to and needs of the coastal fisheries, including environment and infrastructure, though the opportunity was taken to assess more general damage and threats to the long term, sustainable recovery of coastal fisheries.
SPREP is leading the charge to make the Pacific Games in July in Samoa go plastic free in an awareness and outreach initiative aptly called Greening of the Games.
This dataset holds a draft report and a raw baseline data collected from a clean-up at Mulinu'u executed on the 11th May 2019 by the the Team Samoa Va'a, to contextualize solutions and interventions to address marine litter and plastic pollution.
Direct links to chart visualizations generated by the Inform portal based on data collection are also included.

Summary Record of the PEAG 5th Meeting outcomes 2015
Development partners are working with the GoT to develop and implement the Tonga Energy Road Map. The relevant target established as part of the Tonga Energy Road Map is to achieve a 50% reduction in diesel consumption. This is considered technically feasible by 2014/15, through a combination of demand side management (DSM), efficiency improvements (loss reduction) at Tonga Power Limited (TPL) and introducing grid connected renewable energy supply. However, there are constraints to achieving this target that will need to be managed.
