## Overview

A geospatial dataset of point geometries with a land use / land cover label and several remote-sensing derived predictor variables that can be used to train and test a land use / land cover classifier.

This dataset was generated with support from a Climate Change AI Innovation Grant and the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research.

Each of the point geometries was assigned one of the following class labels:

Global EEZ layer are the layers gathered from gazetted datasets that the Pacific Community (SPC) has received from the project countries. In areas where there are no gazetted datasets provisional layers are being sourced from the Global Marine Regions database (https://www.marineregions.org/).

There are two layers available, he .shp file layer and the .kml layer which are being used by partners and member states in particular FFA for the Regional Fisheries Surveillance Center (RFSC).

To evaluate land use and land cover (LULC) maps an independent and representative test dataset is required. Here, a test dataset was generated via stratified random sampling approach across all areas in Fiji not used to generate [training data](https://github.com/livelihoods-and-landscapes/ccai-data/tree/main/fiji-…) (i.e. all Tikinas which did not contain a training data point were valid for sampling to generate the test dataset). Following equation 13 in [Olofsson et al.

This report focuses on addressing the critical challenges of sustainable water resources management on Tutuila, the main island in the Territory of American Samoa. It presents an updated conceptual hydrogeological model of the island's groundwater and surface water resources by integrating existing hydrological information with recently acquired subsurface datasets, shedding light on the complex nature of Tutuila's hydrogeology, which varies significantly across different locations on the island.

This report documents the UH monitoring network which provides hydrologic parameters, such as precipitation, streamflow, and aquifer response, in small island developing communities like Tutuila, American Samoa, where water resources are limited. It highlights the collaborative efforts between the University of Hawaii's Water Resources Research Center and the American Samoa Power Authority to establish a new monitoring network for weather, stream gauging, and aquifer data, providing essential information for sustainable water resource management and various applications

The baselines of the territorial sea of the Republic of the Marshall Islands are set out under Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the DECLARATION OF BASELINES & MARITIME ZONES OUTER LIMITS, made under section 118 of the MARITIME ZONES DECLARATION ACT 2016. The geographic coordinates are also defined under this document.

The Maritime Zones Act 2013 states that the baseline of the territorial sea of Niue is measured from the low-water mark along the coast of Niue, or where there is a coral reef along any part of the coast of Niue, the low-water mark along the outer edge of the coral reef.

The territorial sea comprises those areas of the sea having, as their inner limits, the baseline and, as their outer limits, a line measured seaward from that baseline, every point of which is distant 12 nautical miles from the nearest point of the baseline.

The purpose of the 50 nautical mile zone of Cook Islands is entailed in the Marae Moana Act 2017. It is an Act to protect and conserve the ecological, biodiversity, and heritage values of the Cook Islands marine environment.

The Phoenix Islands Protected Area (PIPA) is located in the Republic of Kiribati. It was established in January 2008 and is one of the largest oceanic coral archipelagic conservation in the world. The PIPA made it into the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage List.

The National Seas Act 1977 states that the territorial sea of PNG comprises all the waters, being waters forming part of the offshore seas, contained between the baselines and the outer-limit lines except for any such waters proclaimed under this section by the Head of State, acting on advice, not to form part of the territorial sea.

Title 27 of the Palau National Code as amended by the Act (SIXTH OLBIIL ERA KELULAU) to Amend Chapter 1 of Title 27 of the Palau National Code defines the territorial sea as having a twelve miles’ breadth. The inner boundary of the territorial sea of each island or atoll is the baseline which is defined as a continuous line which encircles an island or atoll.
