The KSDP is a four-year, high-level, document that articulates Kosrae government priorities and development sector vision along with specific targets for focusing workforce efforts and allocating resources. The aims of the KSDP include the following:
• Provide government and sector officials and leaders with long-term guidance for decision-making
• Communicate a prioritized plan to sector stakeholders for addressing a wide range of activities
• Provide a means for communicating government and sector priorities to Kosraean residents
The Vision of the draft National Aquaculture Strategy is to: Contribute to achieving sustainable economic development in Palau through environmentally responsible aquaculture. It lays out the rationale for 5 specific objectives. The strategy was produced with assistance from the FAO.
The Goals for the 2005 National Youth Policy are to 1) Empower youth to become productive and contributing members of the community and 2) to Create a System of Access for public services and national resources. The Policy was endorsed by Executive Order 223 (addendum).
The draft 2018 Palau Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) Policy has the Vision of: Palau enriched by healthy
forests that sustain our culture and livelihoods, expand our economy and strengthen the resilience of our island ecosystems and communities.
Overseas visitors include sea and air arrivals. It includes excursionists/same-day-visitors i.e. visitors from the cruise ship as well. Data is available by year for Pacific Island Countries and territories. A breakdown per visitor type (tourists/excursionists) is available from 2018.

The country data contained herein is a subset of the Pacific Food Trade Database (PFTD) version 2.1. The PFTD was developed to facilitate more reliable analysis of Pacific food trade in terms of food security and nutrition. The PFTD version 2.1 includes data for 18 Pacific Islands Countries and Territories for the years 1995-2018. The classification system used for the PFTD (version 2.1) is HS92.
