Dataset captures the total registered and newly registered vehicles. Vehicles classified as private cars, pick ups, trucks (10/12 wheels), trucks (6 wheels), machineries, van, buses, taxis design, motor cycles & others.
This record captures petroleum product imports for Samoa from 2009 - 2013. Raw data is sourced from the Samoa Bureau of Statistics via the Samoa Energy Office. Data was used for the annual energy review carried out by the Ministry of Finance - Energy Division. Energy review reports can also be downloaded from this portal. Data is captured monthly by tariff code, description, country of export, volume quantity and CIF price in Tala. Products captured includes: Motor spirit, Jet fuel, Aviation kerosene, Distillate fuels, Liquified butanes, Lubricating oils and greases.

This record captures Kiribati transport data. Data was collected by Mr Herbet Wade, consultant for the SPREP PIGGAREP Project. Data collected in 2012, purpose of the project is to collect transport data of all sectors & determine how renewable sources & ultimately technology can be used to offset fuel imports. The IAEA's Marine Information System (MARiS) allows the search and recovery of more than 528,000 measurements of radioactivity data in the marine environment found in seawater, biota, sediment and suspended matter. The MARiS database and web site are maintained and developed by the Radiometrics Laboratory at the IAEA Environment Laboratories (IAEA-EL) in Monaco.
With a focus on the western Pacific, this portal provides ocean data relevant to a range of sectors and applications including tourism, fishing, shipping/boating, coastal inundation, environmental management etc. Designed with a user-friendly interface, the portal entry page features the applications, thereby negating the need for users to have universal knowledge of the types of information that may be relevant to their activity. The primary purpose of the portal is both data discovery, and a means of communicating ocean information.

A recently published paper, titled “Coastal proximity of populations in 22 Pacific Island Countries and Territories” details the methodology used to undertake the analysis and presents the findings. **Purpose** * This analysis aims to estimate populations settled in coastal areas in 22 Pacific Island Countries and Territories (PICTS) using the data currently available. In addition to the coastal population estimates, the study compares the results obtained from the use of national population datasets (census) with those derived from the use of global population grids.
