A SOPAC project funded by the European Union and the Australian Government with the assistance of the Tuvalu Government ,involved a De 719e Raytheon precision echo sounder used to profile the seabed. Bathymetry data created from this was used as post-dredging data which was analyzed against 2 pre-dredging bathymetry data sets surveyed previously to assess changes in the lagoon sea floor.

SOPAC conducted a multibeam bathymetry survey of the entire lagoon of Penryn Atoll, Cook Islands on behalf of their Marine Department. A three weeks mapping project primarily funded through New Zealand’s bilateral assistance to the Cook Islands, and its ongoing support of strengthening the multibeam mapping capacity of SOPAC. A 200m east to west line spacing along the entire length of the lagoon was surveyed, completely covering the entire lagoon.

This report describes a high-resolution bathymetric mapping survey of the seabed surrounding the island of Efate in Vanuatu, by the Pacific Islands Applied Geoscience Commission
(SOPAC). The survey was carried out over a period of 25
days in August 2003, resulting in the acquisition of over 600 line kilometres of MBES data.
The resultant compilation was used to produce
bathymetry charts of Efate at scales of 1 : 100 000 and 1 : 50 000, with more detailed charts of
Mele Bay, Forari Bay and Havannah Bay at 1 : 20 000.

The Marshall Islands, officially the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), is a Micronesian island nation in the western Pacific Ocean, located north of Nauru and Kiribati, east of the Federated States of Micronesia and south of the U.S. territory of Wake Island, to which it lays claim. The datasets describe the Multi beam bathymetry survey and a high-resolution bathymetric mapping of the seabed in the Majuro lagoon and some parts of the seabed around the atoll.

High-resolution bathymetric mapping survey was carried out for Kiribati Islands around Abaiang, Tarawa, Abemama, Banaba and Onotoa. The survey was carried out over a period of six weeks in September and October 2005, resulting in the acquisition of over 900 km of multibeam echo sounder (MBES) data. Resultant data compilation was used to produce bathymetry charts including Abaiang bathymetry chart and is available for download from its appropriate link under Distribution Info.

A high-resolution bathymetric mapping survey of the seabed surrounding the island of Efate in Vanuatu. This bathymetric map is a blend of multibeam (MBES), and singlebeam (SBES) echosounder data. All slope angles exceeding 60 degrees (degrees from horizontal) were interpreted as scarps. Any Inclined area of the seafloor that was laterally confined by distinctive slopes, with or without an upslope headscarp, was interpreted as a channel.
