This record holds the Bathymetry chart of Havannah Bay showing shallow to deep, from red to blue, with two times vertical exaggeration. Chart is the result of the high-resolution bathymetric mapping survey of the seabed surrounding Port Havannah Harbour in Vanuatu. This bathymetric map is a blend of multibeam (MBES), and singlebeam (SBES) echosounder data. This work was initiated by the SOPAC/EU Reducing Vulnerability of Pacific ACP States Project.

High-resolution bathymetric mapping survey was carried out for Kiribati Islands around Abaiang, Tarawa, Abemama, Banaba and Onotoa. The survey was carried out over a period of six weeks in September and October 2005, resulting in the acquisition of over 900 km of multibeam echo sounder (MBES) data.
Resultant data compilation was used to produce bathymetry charts of Banaba at a scale of 1 :15 000 and is available for download from its appropriate link under Distribution Info.

Funafuti is the largest atoll of the nine low reef islands and atolls that form the Tuvalu volcanic island chain. It comprises numerous islets around a central lagoon that is approximately 25.1 km (N-S) by 18.4 km (W-E), centered on 179 degrees 7'E and 8 degrees 30'S. The resultant data from the SOPAC marine survey carried out for Tuvalu in 2004 was used to produce nine bathymetry charts ,at scales ranging from 1:20 000 to 1:50 000 and the Funafuti Chart is available here for download under the section Distribution Info.

Niutao Island, located at 6 degrees 6'S and 177 degrees 20'E, is a low reef island comprising a single island approximately 2.7 km long (E-W), 1.3 km wide (N-S). It is surrounded by a fringing reef and has a small central brackish-water pond. The surveyed area extends to an average of approximately 3.5 km from the coastline.
The resultant data from the SOPAC marine survey conducted in 2004 was used to produce nine bathymetry charts for Tuvalu at scales ranging from 1:20 000 to 1:50 000 and the Niutao bathymetry chart is available here for download under the Distribution Info.

A high-resolution bathymetric mapping survey of the seabed surrounding the island of Efate in Vanuatu. This bathymetric map is a blend of multibeam (MBES), and singlebeam (SBES) echosounder data. All slope angles exceeding 60 degrees (degrees from horizontal) were interpreted as scarps. Any Inclined area of the seafloor that was laterally confined by distinctive slopes, with or without an upslope headscarp, was interpreted as a channel.

This record holds the bathymetry chart of the South Eastern foreshore areas of Upolu, Samoa. The chart is the result of the multibeam bathymetry survey that was undertaken by the Applied Geoscience and Technology Division (SOPAC) of SPC around the South Eastern point of Upolu and Savai for the EU-SOPAC Samoa Survey. High-resolution bathymetric mapping survey was carried out ,resulting in the acquisition of over 2754 line-km of MBES data for the whole of Samoa Survey.

A high-resolution bathymetric mapping survey of the seabed surrounding the island of Nauru was carried out. The survey was carried out in just one day in September 2005, resulting in the acquisition of over 81 km of multibeam echosounder (MBES) data. Bathymetric map of Nauru showing the island and approximate position of the exclusive economic zone. The resultant dataset was used to create bathymetry charts which are available for download from its appropriate link under Distribution Info.

A SOPAC project funded by the European Union and the Australian Government with the assistance of the Tuvalu Government ,involved a De 719e Raytheon precision echo sounder used to profile the seabed. Bathymetry data created from this was used as post-dredging data which was analyzed against 2 pre-dredging bathymetry data sets surveyed previously to assess changes in the lagoon sea floor.
